iocus is a multi-sensory installation tha tinvites reflection on living and enjoying the city.
Play and collaborative participation are the means for generating connections between people and the city as a place for enjoyment.
Interaction, projection, light and sound, mixed in a swaying motion, remind us that the place we live in is built by all.
From ´game´ in Latin, iocus is an interactive installation presented by H. Solis as part of Art City Tour.
The installation is inspired by the nostalgia evoked by parks within the city and our relationship with it.
We created a space with seesaws as a metaphor to public parks where, through games and common places, relationships between acquaintances and strangers were created.
Iocus’ seesaws seek to awaken, through the innocence of play, the imagination and reflection on living and enjoying the city. Play, together with light and sound, remind us that the place we live in is built by all.
